Now it's time to tile the walls, a very important step here is the layout. One mistake here and you could ruin a good job, I know, I made a mistake because I was rushing and wanted to get something done before I left for the day. Well it turned out that I rushed and now I will have to spend more time on fixing the mistake. I will start with the tiles and show my mistake later and how I fixed it.

Your first tile is very important as this will determine where the borders are and if your grout lines with match up with the other walls.

Notice how I put a few boxes of tiles to choose from and not just empty one box then go to another, this way you spread around the tiles and different shades from the dye lots.

Now I want to set out my lines, I want to find out what my borders are going to be. It is important to find out the side borders as well in this case the top and bottom borders as these tiles are going from floor to ceiling. You will have to measure the wall to find out these numbers, don't forget about the grouts lines that take up space. I didn't bring one of my tools on this job and ended up making a mistake, a very costly mistake for me. I will show this mistake in a couple days.
