the cover plate for this electrical
Here's a sm job I had to do, I had a problem though. I came into this job half way through and found that the cover plate for this electrical was too close to the casing. This is a big job to move the electrical box, also would look kinda funny to cut into the casing. I only had to move it 1/4" so I thought why not cut the cover plate 1/4".
I used a knife to score the line first then got out a hack saw and cut off the 1/4". I was very carefull here as this plate could break very easy.
It worked and saved the customer some money and they did not mind the 1/4" being cut off.
