set your blade to the correct depth

Here's a tip for those of you that want to cut some wood with a circular saw. Before you start cutting you should set your blade to the correct depth, you want the blade to be just below the thickness of the wood. One rule of thumb is to set it below the wood the same thickness as the blade, I go about 1/4" below and this has done fine for me.
