full tiles in place
I have all the full tiles in place, I continue going around the room and cut each piece to go around the door and all the tiles that will go up to the drop ceiling. In the picture below with the door, I have a hole in the drywall. I patch this with a drywall piece and put fibre tape and one coat of mud on it. You might be tempted to just put a tile over this and skip the patch, don't. If I did then chances are very good that the grout will crack and fall out between the two tiles that cover it. This is because the grout between the two tiles has no solid backing and also this door will be opened and closed and can cause cracks if everything is not solid.
