The Handy Newsletter

  Hi everybody!

Welcome to my newsletter. I'm going to try and keep it short as still learning all about this. What I would like to do is take pic's of little tricks and tips that I come across and add some text. They may seem like small tips but we have to start somewhere. As time goes on these tips will get into more on the building and renovating side of things.

Been really busy lately and traveling all aver the place it seems. Have a couple DVD's coming out soon, I will let you know in a newsletter down the road. The CNE is a go again and going to be bigger and better then ever this year. Hoping to give away some cool prizes.

Here is a simple little tip that could save you some cleaning down the road.

Paint Can Trick

You ever have a paint job go great and when you done you put the lid back on and paint squirts out and now you have a nasty mess to clean up?

A neat way to avoid this is to take a nail and every couple inches or so make a hole in the rim of the paint can.

Once you have hammered the nail in the rim, take it out and make another one. Make about 7 or 8 holes in the inside of the rim. Try to do it if you can when you first open the can of paint. Here I didn't and had to nail into some paint but it still worked, just got some paint on my hands that's all.

If you look close here you can see the paint dripping back into the can. This will allow the paint to go back into the can instead of sitting in the rim until you hammer the lid back on and the paint squirts out.
