The CNE is a go and I have 54 shows, 3 a day everyday.
1pm- ceramic tiles (week 1 & 3)

1pm- decks & fences (week 2)

4pm- drywall & repairs

7pm- The handyperson show

All shows will go for about 1 hour and if you bring the kids then make sure you get there about 10 - 15 minutes before shows. I will be making and giving out some crafts to kids 10 and under before I start shows.

I have two shows booked for Sunday, Oct. 08th. Not sure what I will be doing at this stage but I know it will mostly tricks and tips. When I am only on for two shows I seem to go fast and try to fit lots of cool stuff into a short time. Get ready!! Lots of really neat stuff for every room and yard so make sure you check out ...... Not sure of time at this point but hope to see you there...

Going to be on CH Morning Live this Tuesday, Aug 01. Should be on around 8:10am, give or take 5 minutes. I have been lucky and CH has booked me for the rest of the year, every other week. Check out the calander on my web site for dates that I'm on. The next one after this Tuesday is Aug 17th.

Hi Everybody, my name is Shawn Monteith and I am a handyman. I have this web page to teach people how to think handy, or a least learn a few things. I try to update the blog every weekday with tips or just what happened at that stage of the job. I have been showing a bathroom reno since May 01/06 and will be showing other jobs down the road. So check out the blog every weekday.

Introduction

Welcome to this months newsletter. It's the middle of the summer and everybody seems to be very busy, I know I am. Love this time of year, planning for shows and trying to clean up some jobs before the CNE.

Feature Article

The bathroom on the blog is 3/4 done, still lots to show though. Here is a pic of the shower, about half way done the grout stage.

Make sure you check out the blog for start to finish of this bathroom reno. I feel if you see how things are done then it will be easier to understand when you do it.

Handy Tip of The Month

Use a large plastic bag over your paint tray when you don't have much time or do not have any water to clean your tray. This way when your done the painting you can just take the bag off, put it inside out and you now have a clean paint tray.

Going to be giving away some prizes soon, I have a really neat 'John Daly' golf bag that some lucky person will be taking home.Going to do something at the CNE for this draw.

Here is a handy little guy learning how to cut some wood with a mitre saw. See everybody can be handy.
