HOW TO’S & TIPS
*When painting galvinized duct work always use a primer that is suitable for galvinized metal. If you use a common paint primer then expect to have the paint peel off down the road.
*After you open a can of paint, take a small nail and punch some holes in the rim valley around the edge of the can. This way when you scrape off any extra paint off the brush, the extra paint will drip back into the can instead of sitting in the rim and splashing all over the place when you hammer the lid back on.
*When screwing on drywall if you push to hard or screw in past the paper and the counter sink then add another screw that does not go past the paper. This way you will cut down on those screw or nail pop-outs down the road.
*Add duct tape to the back of strips of sandpaper to add extra strength so not to rip sandpaper as easy. Adds extra life to any job.
*When plugging in a power tool make sure you know that it is turned off. Some tools are ok because you have to push or turn something for it to start but some like the beltsander or orbital sander will start if on button is set at "on" when pluged in. So be careful and read the safety manual before use.
