This morning I did a segment on CH Morning Live with Annette Hamm. Annete asked me if I would have any info on my web site covering the topic of my Muskoka chairs. Well here it is...

 I will show pic's and talk about the different steps I took to bring life back to my cedar Muskoka chairs. Because of time I will split these pic's up and show a few everyday over the next few days.

Bringing life back to a Muskoka chair

A couple years ago I made two Muskoka chairs for a segment on CH Morning Live. After the show I put these chairs outside my back door and just left them there open to the elements. Yesterday I started this project to bring life back to one of the chairs and to show the steps with the other one.

Below is a pic of the two chairs, they have the same history except for the last 24 hrs. The one on the left has two coats of gloss sealer and the one on the right is how they both looked yesterday morning.

Cleaning

First thing I want to do is clean the chairs, you want remove all dirt, wax, mold, rust etc.The easiest way for me was to load them into the back of my pick-up truck and head off to the nearest car wash.
